Tom Venuto lists two accreditations - Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) - http://www.nsca-cc.org.The NSCA (via their website) offer a verification service. I entered Tom Venuto's details (I had to dig elsewhere to locate a physical address) and received a reply that Tom Venuto holds both certifications valid until Dec. 31st 2008. (Thereafter, he needs to renew the certification for a further 3 years).This tends to indicate that Tom is qualified at what he does.. Tom talks of a Yahoo group BFFM - With 1000's of members, etc. (and the implication is that they can't all be lying about it). However, Yahoo only gives a BFFM group with few (38 as of time of writing) members, and created on Jan. 4 2008. So, if there was a group with 'thousands of members', it no longer exists.This tends to indicate some cover-up... unless there is a valid explanation why the old group was closed.
